Rather than the (slightly costlier) supermarket option, why not make your own homemade granola from scratch! That way, you not only know exactly what you’re putting in your body, you have the freedom to add just about anything you want! Feed your body right and just how you want to!
Ingredients (for 12 servings)
- Oats (300g)
- Flaxseeds (115g)
- Pumpkin Seeds (100ml)
- Chopped Nuts (50ml per nut)
- Almonds
- Walnuts
- Cashews
- Pistachios
- Dried Fruit (100ml)
- Raisons
- Berries
- Ground Cinnamon (1 Tbsp)
- Coconut Oil (50ml)
- Organic Honey (120ml)
- Chia Seeds [Optional] (2 Tbsp)
Instructions
- Mix Oats, Flaxseed,Ground Cinnamon and honey in a bowl
- Add chopped almonds, Pumpkins Seeds and Coconut oil
- Heat oven to 200°C
- Line mix in oven tray, spread evenly
- Place in oven for 20-25 minutes
- Once removed from oven, pour into large bowl
- Add other ingredients (nuts, raisons and chia seeds)
- Mix together to form smooth/even mixture
- Leave to cool down (5 – 10 minutes)
- Serve appropriately with low fat soya yoghurt or milk
